Secluded medicine house in Popoyo, Nicaragua providing third floor open air journeys with jungle energy, comfortable mats and cooling trade winds. Dreamed and designed specifically for hosting journeys.

Root of Being provides personalized care serving only one to four guests per retreat. Booking can be for a private, custom or to join other journeyers in a pre-scheduled retreat.

A smaller dose daytime experience. Extra sensitivity in the morning due to a fresh nervous system, yields stronger receptivity, vivid insights, and amplified energy compared to evening as well as rapid recovery with uninterrupted harmony with daylight cycles. The journey is finished by evening.

Step dosing through the evening into the night allowing for a threshold experience continuing through the second day. A true right of passage within yourself. A test of silent, mental endurance and physical detoxification. Journeyers stay a second night in the space to ensure full metabolism and completion.

Journeyers have choices of beach walks on Playa Guasacate, jungle walks around the medicine house, hot/cold therapy and bodywork release. Both journeys finish with a campfire circle for sharing and integration.

Root of Being offers Iboga root bark in its low risk, natural form. We also have strict consultation screening, eliminating the risk from combinations with current alcohol, pharmaceutical or drug use. In fifteen years, we have never had a medical intervention.
