Jeremy’s journey providing Kambo and Iboga began in 2012 in Canada. In a humble dual-yurt lodge, he lived amongst the cedar trees, next door to the Cheakamus river in Squamish. Over eight years, Jeremy served hundreds of journeyers in that magic space but 2020 changed everything. Restrictions were enforced, abruptly ending the practice. Jeremy sold his beloved yurts and moved to Gambier Island to practice discretely in a temporary space, but the restrictions made retreats impossible. This led to visions of a new life in a new country. Following his heart and his gut, he began the creation of a simple and minimal life in Nicaragua,  living rurally in a coastal village. Synchronicities led to land and guidance in building a new space to serve medicine with reverence and stillness. Jeremy offers his service with admiration for authentic commitment and the courage to see life with radical creative responsibility. His space and medicines are held in trust and love, encouraging allowance of self healing.

Coco is a co-facilitator and body-work therapist for root of Being plant medicine retreats.

Coco has been in healing service for over twenty years. Her background in yoga and body work includes multiple modalities learned from wisdom journeys to many countries. As a maestra of movement and touch, her journey in healing and holding space cultivated deep empathy and intuition, working with thousands of people over decades. Coco’s yearning for healing knowledge led her to Kambo which became a foundation for her own cleansing and a reverent voyage into Kambo service. Like Jeremy, Coco faced extreme catalysts following 2020 that led her away from Canada. Landing first in Mexico, she lived and practiced in Cabo San Lucas for a few years which was an introduction to a new paradigm and most significantly, to Iboga. Coco's work with Iboga continued, summoning a deep desire for minimalism and simplicity. With guidance from grace, love and synchronicity, she followed her heart to Nicaragua and ultimately to RootofBeing.

The medicine journey offers you an opportunity to break free from patterns and conditioning, but it goes so much deeper. This is a journey into your heart, melting away ego attachments and identities in the stillness of a silent journey. This is the foundation of the Root of Being experience and a profound shift in perception.

These retreats are not about more answers. They are about less questions. A reverent trust in nature and in yourself. Nature's tools are here to realign us with honour, integrity and truth. We have the deepest admiration and respect for Iboga's cultural origins, but we do not adhere to a particular lineage or encourage a practice to be learned or followed. The medicine inspires you to be your authentic self. Not to copy.

The language of plant medicine is not translated with our mind. It whispers to our heart and our gut when we are present and receptive. Post journey is often a cocoon-like reclusion as we transform and emerge with new patterns and discipline. Daily life is where the real changes are made with every choice. The medicine reveals our role as creators so ultimately, you are the medicine and life is the ritual.

RECLAIM YOUR POWER

Root of Being retreats encourage self empowerment. They are not about returning to ordinary life unchanged, mistaking temporary insight for lasting transformation. Following deep cleansing and reconnection, it is your daily choices that determine whether that renewal becomes embodied power or fades into another story.

Maintaining your power means living in radical responsibility: ending the victim narrative, honouring boundaries, integrating through disciplined practice (silence, nature immersion, honest self-inquiry) and refusing to outsource your sovereignty. This is supported through post-ceremony guidance and reminders that transformational power is yours! Not the plant, not the facilitator, not the retreat.

The power you reclaim is not loud or performative. It is quiet, steady, and unshakeable: the ability to meet life as it is, without running, without decorating, without pretending. This is the true gift of the path... authentic self-sovereignty that endures long after the visions dissolve.
